Contributing to the development of 14-19 in the north east.
In January 2008, Northern Education was commissioned by ONE North East to undertake an assignment aimed at increasing the scale and scope of employer engagement in 14-19 education and training in the region. The project produced a research report which has been used as a framework for employer engagement through the ‘Make it Count’ campaign. The project also produced a range of high quality support materials including:
• a ‘how to’ guide for employers
• a series of good practice case studies
• a directory of useful contacts
The outcomes of the project are available on the Skills North East website.
Northern Education Associates are currently working with the DCSF to provide guidance for schools on the use of the post-16 progression measures. The guidance is likely to be published in September 2009.
From time to time we will advertise opportunities for involvement in 14 -19 development and organisational development projects through this website.
