Our Approach: Interim and Leadership Management

We recognise that every search we undertake requires a sensitive and personal service for our clients. We ensure that a careful process is followed:

Client need is established

We will meet with the client to discuss and evaluate the leadership needs that the organisation has identified. We will establish the role and qualities being sought, together with an exact understanding of the support you require. We will also clarify the timescales that you are working to. We will also explain the protocols we work within so that the client can be re-assured about support provided to interim managers and about issues of confidentiality.

Agreeing costs

We will meet with Senior Associates in the company to consider the requirements and a costed proposal for the required search will be established. The client will be contacted to agree the search costs and any other fees for interim managers.

Candidate search

The company will carry out a search for the interim manager and select potential candidates for consideration by the client. CVs and other relevant information will be forwarded to the client in confidence. In the case of candidates for permanent leadership positions we will inform the client of candidates we have approached to make an application.

Candidate interviews

The company will arrange for the client to meet any proposed interim manager that they are interested in considering. Usually a Senior Associate will accompany the candidate.

Appointment

Following a meeting where the client wishes to proceed with the appointment of an interim manager then the fees, costs and appointment timescales will be agreed. The company will raise and issue the relevant contracts in accordance with the work to be completed, in agreement with both you and the candidate. Where the client appoints a candidate to a permanent position who was found by Northern Education, the company will issue an invoice for the search fees previously agreed.

Interim Manager project management

The company will provide mentoring support to an Interim Manager throughout the assignment. This will be provided by a Senior Associate of the company to ensure that any professional support needed by an Interim manager is readily available.
